The Letter of the Law is Flesh and Dead Works
Those that go to the right of Christ tend to go to the letter of the book. They become the word police, behavior police, dress up in costumes and symbols and give the appearance of religion but fail to understand the Spirit of the Law. These people must Repent of dead works or will face tribulation. They love the world and walk according to their will. They worship God according to man’s way. They have not obeyed God’s Word in taking care of God’s work, but have instead done what they themselves desire. They try to please men. They seek man’s glory rather than God’s glory and are not willing to stand in the same place of shame that the Lord stood in.
Galatians 5:16-18
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Galatians 4:5
To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Romans 7:4
Therefore, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God.
1 Timothy 1:9
We realize that law is not enacted for the righteous, but for the lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for killers of father or mother, for murderer.
Matthew 9:12-17
